And I want to share a quick backstory about myself.
In 2008, I took up the role of a Product Manager at a startup. Since I was an SWE, I started out with a modest skill set.
But over the years, I kept skilling up, eventually taking on more and more challenging roles, like:
- Driving the growth of Fortnite during its peak
- Leading Affirm to grow its revenue from $300M to $1.2B annually
- Raising at Apollo.io to achieve unicorn status ($750M to $2.5B valuation)
What I learned from those experiences is the PMs who thrive are the ones who master emerging tech early. In 2008, it was mobile. In 2015, it was growth hacking. Today, it’s AI.
So I made a pivot: I quit my high-paying VP job to become a full-time writer, podcaster, and mentor… to help PMs like you get ahead of this wave.
In the last 2 years alone, I’ve helped PMs land roles at AI companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. Plus, I’ve helped PMs land better compensations (ranging from 30% all the way to 250%).
So you can see why I’m excited to share what I know about becoming an AI PM with you.
